Tuprime Launches 'Bitcoin Vault' Offering 1.5-2% Annual Yield

Cryptocurrency financial services provider Tuprime has launched a Bitcoin (BTC) based lending product. According to CoinDesk on April 16 (local time), Tuprime unveiled the 'Axiom WBTC Yield Vault' - a Bitcoin yield vault built on the on-chain private credit platform Pareto. The vault accepts wrapped Bitcoin (WBTC), tokenized Bitcoin that can be used across other blockchain networks, as collateral to lend to institutional borrowers. The product aims to provide investors with an income stream beyond price appreciation while offering institutions a channel to secure Bitcoin liquidity. Minimum deposit is $250,000 in WBTC. Initial acceptance limit is 1,350 BTC. The company targets an annual yield of 1.5-2% depending on market conditions. Tuprime has injected approximately $10 million of its own capital to absorb initial losses. Borrowers will consist of listed companies and businesses with credit ratings. The product represents Tuprime's expansion into the on-chain financial market, following its operation of institutional Bitcoin collateralized lending services.
