UK to Invest £500 Million and Add 500 Staff to Combat Money Laundering

The UK government will invest £50 million over the next three years and recruit an additional 500 law enforcement officers to enhance its response to money laundering. The Home Office and Treasury announced a new strategy for preventing money laundering and recovering assets on 15th, stating that newly hired staff will be deployed to police forces, the National Crime Agency (NCA), and prosecutors.

The government aims to track organized crime and international money laundering networks while seizing criminal proceeds through this initiative.
