Uniswap Founder Plans to Submit SEC Innovation Exemption Improvement Proposal

Uniswap founder Hayden Adams revealed plans to submit an improved proposal regarding the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC)’s innovation exemption, according to a PostSite News report. The SEC announced on July 17 that it would grant temporary conditional exemptions for trading venues and certain liquidity providers to support tokenized U.S. stocks, with a five-year term following publication in the Federal Register. Conditions include transaction volume and number of securities limits, as well as public disclosure requirements. The SEC also requested public comments.
Uniswap Labs announced on July 23 via blog that Uniswap v4’s authorized pool feature would be unveiled. This feature allows on-chain verification to restrict token swaps and liquidity provision to approved addresses only.
