Upbit and Seoul City Host Financial Golden Bell Event for Youth on Bitcoin and Stablecoins

TwoNamu, the operator of cryptocurrency exchange Upbit, has announced it will partner with Seoul City to provide financial literacy education for young people, including topics on Bitcoin and stablecoins as part of broader digital asset knowledge. The event, "Seoul City X Upbit Upclass Financial Golden Bell," is scheduled for September 19 at Daebul Park in Banghwa, Seoul.

This initiative follows a July agreement between TwoNamu and Seoul City to enhance youth economic and financial capabilities. Unlike traditional lectures, the event will feature quiz-based learning covering foundational asset management, credit and loans, digital assets including Bitcoin, blockchain, stablecoins, and real-world asset (RWA) linked products, as well as prevention of financial fraud such as voice phishing, QR code scams, and deepfakes.

Participants will solve questions on their personal smartphones. The event uses a cumulative scoring system where incorrect answers do not lead to elimination, allowing participants to continue until the final question. Prizes include AirPods 4 for first place, 100,000 won Shinsaeng gift cards for second place, Bitcoin gift cards and Bitcoin money cushions worth 50,000 won for third place, and Naver Pay vouchers for fourth place. Additional surprise quizzes will offer pizza sets and Upbit merchandise, with a lucky draw at the end of the event.

The event will run from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM on September 19th. Free participation is open to Seoul youth and citizens interested in youth policies. Registration via Naver reservation closes at noon on September 19, with walk-in availability limited to remaining seats after all registered participants have entered.

An Upbit spokesperson stated that the event aims to make finance and digital assets more approachable for young people, adding that they will continue various financial education and social responsibility activities to improve understanding of digital assets and correct financial knowledge.
