US Clarity Act Progress Could Boost ETH, SOL, XRP More Than Bitcoin

U.S. Senate procedural vote on the Clarity Act is expected to proceed today, according to CoinDesk, with Tim Sun of HashKey Group estimating a 50% chance of passage and less than 20% likelihood of full legislation by year-end.
TDX Strategies predicts Bitcoin could rise to $88,000-$90,000 if the procedural vote passes, breaking through an $82,000 resistance level, or fall to around $73,000 if rejected. However, analysts note altcoins like ETH, SOL, and XRP may benefit more relatively than Bitcoin due to their current regulatory uncertainties.
Lacie Zhang of Bitget Wallet Research believes Ethereum could see the largest gains as it serves as a foundation for stablecoins, DeFi, and tokenized assets, with potential improvements in regulatory clarity from SEC/CFTC jurisdictional distinctions. Similarly, DeFi tokens like UNI and AAVE may see increased volatility if regulations around non-custodial software and decentralized protocols become clearer.
Experts caution that this procedural vote is not the final legislation, suggesting any price surge would likely be short-term unless accompanied by sustained ETH/BTC ratio growth and rising spot trading volume to indicate a broader market revaluation.
