US Democratic Senator: Clarity Act Won't Be Fully Abandoned Despite Vote Failure

US Democratic Senator Angela Alsobrooks said the Clarity Act will not be fully scrapped even after its failure to pass in the full Senate vote. Speaking on the Crypto in America podcast hosted by Eleanor Terrett, Alsobrooks stated that over 70 million Americans participate in an unregulated industry and it is their responsibility to regulate it.

However, she refused to hold President Donald Trump accountable for issues she described as corruption within the virtual asset (cryptocurrency) sector, criticizing Republicans for playing political games. Alsobrooks, one of two Democratic senators who supported advancing the Clarity Act to full Senate consideration in May, cast a vote against it during Wednesday's roll call.
