The Senate is set to hold a closure vote (determining whether the full chamber will debate the bill) on Thursday at 3:15 AM KST, with Republicans holding 53 seats. To secure the necessary 60 votes for passage, Democrats need at least seven Republican votes. According to The Block, Cynthia Lummis' spokesperson Katie Warbinton stated that Republicans have not accepted the Democratic amendment proposal, calling it 'a mirror of the initial Democratic position as of the start of recess.'
