Velocity Secures $10 Million in Series A Extension Led by Visa Ventures

Velocity, a stablecoin payment and treasury management platform, announced on the 17th that it secured an additional $10 million (approximately 140 billion KRW) in its Series A extension round with participation from Visa Ventures, Circle Ventures, Ripple, Haun Ventures, Translink Capital, and Mirana Ventures.

This follows a previous $38 million Series A round in August, supporting Velocity's mission to provide stablecoin infrastructure globally for issuers, acquirers, payment providers, financial institutions, and merchants. The platform enables institutional and corporate users to integrate stablecoins into existing settlement, liquidity, and treasury operations without replacing legacy systems.

Designed to streamline fund movement behind payments with seamless processing, reduce reliance on pre-funding, and extend settlement times beyond traditional banking hours, Velocity aims to connect issuers, acquirers, merchants, and financial institutions through infrastructure built for uninterrupted global settlements using stablecoins in institutional treasury workflows.

With $48 million secured in Series A funding, Velocity plans to continue expanding its platform and strengthen its position across the global payment and treasury management ecosystem. CEO Eric Queathem stated that welcoming Visa Ventures and other new investors as partners is a significant milestone, with these stakeholders actively engaged in the ecosystem poised to provide valuable insights as Velocity innovates payment experiences using stablecoins.
