VelociCity Secures $10M Series A Extension Round with Visa Ventures, Circle Ventures, Ripple and Others

Stablecoin payment and treasury management platform VelociCity announced it secured an additional $10 million in a Series A extension round on July 17th, with participation from Visa Ventures, Circle Ventures, Ripple, Hound Ventures, Translink Capital, and Mirana Ventures. This follows last month's $38 million Series A funding, aiming to support VelociCity's mission of providing stablecoin infrastructure to global issuers, acquirers, payment providers, financial institutions, and merchants.

Eric Quidd, VelociCity founder and CEO, said: 'We are pleased to welcome Visa and other new investors as partners. From the beginning, we have focused on improving how funds move through the payments ecosystem. These investors operate at the center of that ecosystem and will provide valuable insights as we innovate payment experiences using stablecoins.'

VelociCity has built infrastructure allowing institutions and enterprises to use stablecoins for settlement, liquidity, and treasury management without replacing existing systems. The platform is designed to enable seamless fund movement behind payments, reduce reliance on pre-funding, and extend settlement times beyond traditional banking hours.

Rubai Birwadker, Head of Visa Global Growth Products & Strategic Partnerships, stated: 'Stablecoins are increasingly playing a key role in reshaping how value moves across the Visa ecosystem. Companies like VelociCity accelerate stablecoin adoption and create new opportunities for our customers and partners. We're pleased to invest in Eric and the VelociCity team as they build the infrastructure needed to provide all enterprises with stablecoin-based fund movement.'

With Circle Ventures and Ripple's participation, VelociCity now collaborates with two leading companies pioneering regulated stablecoins and their use cases in payments, liquidity, and institutional finance. Translink Capital's investment strategically bridges VelociCity's enterprise and institutional partner network across Asia. Their investment reflects a shared view that the next phase of stablecoin adoption lies not just in assets and blockchain itself but in infrastructure connecting to existing banking, treasury management, and settlement systems used by institutions.

Hound Ventures brings long-term vision developed through years of investing in stablecoin and financial infrastructure companies. The investment reflects confidence that stablecoins will increasingly integrate into payment, banking, and treasury systems. Chris An, Partner at Hound Ventures, said: 'Hound has invested in both Bridge and BVNK with early conviction on stablecoin infrastructure. VelociCity represents the next evolution of this investment thesis. Stablecoins are becoming foundational to global finance beyond faster transactions. VelociCity is building technology that allows major institutions to directly adopt stablecoins for payment and treasury operations.'
