Virtuals Protocol Launches Stock-Linked Token Vault 'Occupy'

Virtuals Protocol has launched Occupy, a platform integrating stock-specific token trading and AI governance. Each token is linked to a single tokenized stock, with 40% of trading fees used to purchase the corresponding stock and add it to a vault. The protocol publicly unveiled Occupy on Base on June 16.
Occupy's official site describes it as a platform for trading stock-specific tokens while depositing related stocks into a vault managed by an AI Senate. The AI Senate, consisting of 10 members elected by token holders, oversees stock holdings, allocation decisions, and token buybacks. Candidates must disclose their operating philosophy and declarations on specific stocks, with multiple candidates allowed to run in different stock-related senate elections.
While the protocol has been expanding AI agent tokenization and on-chain economic activity, the company notes that tokenized stocks may vary in rights and usage based on issuing entities, jurisdiction, and product terms. It also warns of full principal loss risk for related tokens and products.
