WaveBridge Expands Institutional Stablecoin Payment Infrastructure Ahead of Circle's Arc Mainnet Launch

Financial infrastructure company WaveBridge announced it will fully integrate its on-chain stablecoin payment infrastructure StableFX with the mainnet launch of Arc, an open-source Layer1 blockchain built by Circle, the issuer of USDC. The integration allows Korean institutions to access global multi-currency stablecoin settlement and clearing through WaveBridge's Prime brokerage service 'WaveBridge Prime' without directly participating in StableFX.

Arc is an EVM-compatible Layer1 blockchain developed by Circle for stablecoin-based finance, using USDC as the base gas fee. It provides infrastructure for institutional financial activities including payments, settlements, and asset tokenization with sub-second deterministic payment finality and predictable dollar-based fee structure. The network is operated by geographically distributed identity verification validators.

StableFX on Arc is Circle's on-chain stablecoin payment engine targeting qualified institutional counterparties. It supports RFQ-based multi-liquidity provider quotes, simultaneous payment PvP to reduce counterparty risk, 24/7 settlement, and requires KYB/AML compliance for access.

WaveBridge, as a licensed VASP (Virtual Asset Service Provider), has integrated StableFX connectivity into WaveBridge Prime's payment, liquidity, and custody workflows. Korean institutional clients can now use WaveBridge as a single point of access for fund preparation through currency exchange and settlement. WaveBridge acts as an intermediary connecting clients to StableFX and executing trades.

Previously, WaveBridge supported custody of 11 stablecoins across six currency pairs including USD, EUR, JPY, ZAR, AUD, and SGD. With this integration, the service scope expands beyond custody to include stablecoin exchange and settlement intermediation. Initial support will begin with USDC-based payments and settlements, with plans to gradually expand as more stablecoins are supported on StableFX.

Through this initiative, WaveBridge aims to provide Korean institutions access to 24/7 multi-stablecoin settlement without the previous requirements of pre-funding at multiple foreign exchange banks or adhering to business hour restrictions. Oh Jong-wook, CEO of WaveBridge, stated: 'With Arc mainnet launch, we will continue expanding the foundation for Korean institutions to access global stablecoin payment and settlement infrastructure in a standardized manner.'
