World Launches Global Finance Super App 'World Money' with Stablecoin and Stripe Integration

World, a digital identity authentication project, has unveiled a financial super app that integrates stablecoin payments, global remittance services, and deposit rewards. According to Block, the app 'World Money' was launched on July 17th (local time), offering users a single platform to manage assets while utilizing stablecoin payments, trading, deposit rewards, and virtual account services across over 150 countries.

World Money is integrated with payment infrastructure company Stripe, prediction market platform Kalshi, and decentralized lending protocol Morpho. The app supports eight currencies, allowing U.S. users to convert Apple Pay funds into stablecoins via Stripe, with World stating the process completes within minutes. Users who complete World ID verification receive additional rewards through a loyalty program.

World explained that 'when an account is tied to a real person, how money moves changes,' emphasizing that networks composed of actual humans provide a more trustworthy foundation for financial infrastructure in an era where AI creates increasingly sophisticated fake accounts. The project was developed by Tools for Humanity, co-founded by Sam Altman of OpenAI and Alex Blania. Previously known as Worldcoin, the project rebranded to 'World' last year.

World began transitioning toward a finance super app in March 2023 by adding crypto payment and chat features. In summer 2023, Circle, a stablecoin issuer, expanded its payment and remittance services by introducing native USDC into the World app wallet.
