XRP Binance Liquidity Hits 6-Month High Amid Mixed Signals

XRP’s 30-day liquidity index on Binance has risen to its highest level in approximately six months, according to blockchain media The Crypto Basic. The market appears to be recovering from a summer slowdown, with key metrics showing renewed trading activity.

The 30-day turnover rate reached around $4.6 billion, while the liquidity index stood at approximately 0.0675. This metric reflects how quickly XRP is changing hands relative to the amount held on exchanges; higher values suggest large buy or sell orders can be absorbed without significantly moving prices.

Recent gains follow a period of weakness in July and August, when the 30-day turnover rate dropped to between $2 billion and $3 billion. Despite XRP trading near $1 during that time, it rose about 28.5% over August—a strong performance since 2021. The recovery was supported by $153.55 million in inflows into XRP spot ETF products.

September saw increased actual fund movements: over 91 million XRP entered Binance on September 11, while more than 113 million left—a daily high for the past six months. Although withdrawals exceeded deposits by roughly 22.7 million XRP, total holdings on Binance rose only 0.43% weekly.

Derivatives markets also showed some signs of recovery, with Binance’s seven-day open interest change rate improving from -27% on August 29 to +1% as of September 6. However, average open interest remained at around $476.7 million, up just 0.23% week-on-week.

Market participants caution that higher liquidity does not necessarily mean a price rise. While the market can absorb larger orders without significant price impact, it remains unclear whether this reflects stronger buying pressure or simply more stable conditions amid continued volatility.
