On Thursday (local time), Garlinghouse stated on X (formerly Twitter) that 'all efforts were made to pass the Clarity Act,' adding that it was not just about Ripple or a single company but about the entire industry, consumers, and positioning the U.S. as the global leader in virtual assets and future finance.

He noted that 'consumer interests and America's competitiveness were pushed aside' and stressed the need for post-vote analysis of the outcome. Garlinghouse also expressed continued optimism about the future of the U.S. cryptocurrency market, predicting that the SEC and CFTC will continue to develop regulations to fill the legislative gap, with Ripple committing to actively participate in upcoming regulatory processes.
