XRP Holds Above $1.30 as Price Consolidates

XRP has held above the $1.30 mark, avoiding a deeper correction that could have reversed recent gains. According to blockchain media U.Today on August 14 (local time), XRP is trading around $1.38, maintaining its position above the $1.30-$1.35 support zone formed after last month's surge.
This level represents the lower boundary of a consolidation phase following the August breakout. Despite recent corrections, buying pressure has repeatedly entered, preventing XRP from falling to key moving average support levels.
Technical indicators remain stable, with XRP trading above short-term moving averages and the 50-day moving average rising to around $1.28. The market structure shifted rapidly after August's surge, placing longer-term moving averages significantly below current prices.
Resistance remains at $1.40, where XRP has struggled to gain momentum, failing to make clear progress toward $1.45 during recent rebounds. Trading volume has also decreased from the unusually high levels seen during the breakout, indicating weaker buying strength.
Momentum has moved out of overbought territory; the daily Relative Strength Index (RSI) has dropped to around 55, reflecting a neutral-to-strong range after briefly entering overbought conditions during August's rally.
The short-term turning point remains at $1.30. If this level breaks, the rising 50-day moving average could become visible, potentially opening a path toward the $1.20-$1.25 range. Conversely, if the $1.30-$1.35 support zone holds, the recovery trend since August's breakout may continue.
The next resistance level is at $1.40-$1.45. If XRP regains this zone with stronger volume, it could test $1.50 and the August high. For now, correction momentum has slowed, and the $1.30 level remains intact.
