XRP Ledger Upgrade V1.1 Falls Short of Activation Threshold

XRP Ledger's V1.1 upgrade has received support from 27 out of 35 trusted validators, falling just two votes short of the 80% activation threshold. MarsBit reported on May 15 that the upgrade is nearing activation procedures. According to XRP Ledger's official documentation, a network change requires sustained support exceeding 80% from validators for two weeks to activate. With 35 validators total, 29 votes are needed to meet the requirement, leaving two more votes required at current levels. If support drops below the threshold, the two-week count restarts. The batch feature was designed to bundle up to eight related transactions into a single operation, preventing scenarios where only one transaction in a group succeeds.
