XRPL Sets Record with 3,254 Transactions in Single Block

XRPL, the layer-1 blockchain for XRP, has set a new record by processing 3,254 transactions in a single block, according to Vet, a community leader and Valdata Bet representative on X. He explained that XRPL does not have a fixed block size like Bitcoin but adjusts transaction processing targets based on network conditions. "If transactions are crowded and blocks process quickly, the number of transactions per block increases; if processing time exceeds five seconds, it decreases," he said. The majority of transactions in this block were simple small-value XRP transfers that placed minimal strain on the network, unlike complex transactions like DEX or NFT trades which require significantly more resources. Vet noted that while the purpose of the high volume transaction is unknown, it was likely a processing capacity test.
