ZCode Data Upload Allegations Prompt Legal Notice from Tianyuan Qingming Tech

Tianyuan Qingming Tech has issued a legal notice to Zepu over allegations that the company's AI coding tool ZCode was uploading enterprise data without authorization. The notice demands data deletion and an explanation of legal liability.

SmartHead reported that Tianyuan Qingming Tech requested in the notice that ZCode completely delete uploaded data, disclose data processing lists and storage/sharing paths, and explain encryption key management and access logs. SmartHead also noted that Tianyuan Qingming Tech has required a formal written response from Zepu by October 10.

Zepu clarified on September 18 via its official user group that the 'code library index' feature of ZCode was initially enabled by default in early releases, affecting some users, and that related issues have been fixed. The company also announced plans to promote open-sourcing ZCode for third-party review and to provide an additional weekly usage limit of one session for users.
