ZEC Surges 177.8% in Month as Trader Suffers $10.68M Short Loss

Bitcryptos reported that Zcash (ZEC) has risen 177.8% over the past month, leading one trader to close a short position and suffer a $10.68 million ($148 billion won) loss. Lookonchain cited an X post stating the trader previously achieved an 89% win rate across 47 trades and maintained 26 consecutive profitable trades, accumulating over $9 million in profits before this recent ZEC short position loss wiped out most of their gains. Bitcryptos also referenced Hyperliquid data indicating the largest unrealized loss on open ZEC short positions has reached $33.87 million ($470 billion won).
